1 Europe Itinerary (Accom & Transport)

🍹👗 This is the start, where the fun begins. 🎉🎉🥳

Checklist of things that we must have before we go:

1. Passport
2. International drivers licenses for those that are driving
   1. Get these from Service NSW not NRMA as you used to
   2. Need to have a passport photo to get the license
   3. Can pre-process the application online here
3. Roomsoft Hungary apparently requires this to be completed. Please wait while this requirement is being checked – Leonie recieved it, Tan checking?
4. EES – need finger printing and photo ID then we should be fine in all other countries – this happens at the first border crossing, cannot pre-do. Need to have 6 months on your passport.
5. Travel Insurance
   1. Trace recommends looking:
      1. Southern Cross Travel Insurance (SCTI)
      2. Australia Post Travel Insurance
6. Doctors letter about medications that you are taking
7. Photo of your passport, in case you lose your passport, a photo helps.
8. e-sim. These allow cheaper calls and to allow us to keep out Aussi Ph numbers. Jill recommended these options:
   • MobiMatters
   • AeroFly
   • Tracey said that we need to make sure that they cover Turkey as well as Europe as some do not.
   • Simify – this one covers all countries that I believe that we are going to incl England

• Accommodation: Booked and paid Budapest accommodation for 3 nights after Croisi tour is booked by the one and only Leonie. Details are $509 per couple and $254.50 for a single for 3 nights.

19/5 – leave Budapest for Lake Bled. Full day travelling by bus via Ljubljana

• Transport: Tracey Booked 8 bus tickets Budapest to Ljubljana on 19/5/26 departing at 9.25am. This includes booking fee and seat charge. Includes 7kg carry on and 20kg checked bag. Cost $32pp.

• this will get us to Ljubljana. We need to then get on a local bus on the day to Lake Bled.

22/5 – Leave Lake Bled travel to Ljubljana (capital of Slovenia)

  • Tracey & Paul: Thank you I have booked Paul and I into Hotel Ljubljana which is great value and 300 meters from your accommodation. Pretty close.

24/5 – Hacketts/Warnocks leave Ljubljana travel to Pula (Croatia), pick up car, look around at Pula then on to Rovinj (Hacketts & Warnocks only)

  • Ljubljana to Pula. FlixBus 9.15am direct $50.50 arrive 13.45
    Pick up hire car at Pula Airport – Stick with the well know ln brands eg Hertz or Europecar because of Croatian dodgy.
    Approx 750-1000 AUD for 24/5 – 29/5

25/5 – Brights/Leonie Bus to Zagreb. Pick up hire car 25-29/5 Stay in Rastoke

26/5  Drive through Opitaja and look around then onto Selo

  4/6 – flight from Dubrovnik to Rome. Ryan air has a direct flight but you get in at around midnight.

12/6 – Head to North Italy to lakes region, Lake Garda, Lake Maggiori, via Piacenza to say hi to other relo’s.
14/6 – Drive to Milan, drop off car in the afternoon, overnight in Milan.
15/6 – Flight from Milan to Istanbul Turkish airlines depart 6.50am arrive Istanbul 10.50am and check-in with Trip A Deal hotel. Use the rest of the day to tour Istanbul.

• Transport: flight from Milan to Istanbul Turkish airlines depart 6.50am – arrive Istanbul 10.50am includes 23kg checked baggage $273PP. Brights and Hacketts have booked, Warnocks yet to book
