- Youtube Videos all about Budapest – Stuffed Cabbage Adventures
- Best Day Trips
- Best Tours of Budapest
- Downtown Budapest 3-Hour Historical Walking Tour
- Small group bike tour
- MonsteRoller e-Scooter tour
- 48-Hour Hop-On Hop-Off Sightseeing Package $61 and optional audio guide
The Gellert Thermal baths that they keep going on about are closed from Oct 1, 2025 to 2028 so we cannot go. I think there are others like Szechenyl Thermal Baths – go early as they get busy during the day
Youtube suggestion:
- The markets – food is expensive and the items are touristy and not very original. Nice building though
- Liberty Bridge – green paint and classic design – yellow trains use it to cross the Danube
- Coffee is good in Budapest. Chimney cake (not with fillings) are good
- Walk down to the Danube promenade
- The chain bridge was he first bridge to connect Buda with Pest to create Budapest
- St Steven’s Basilica
- it has St Steven’s right hand – just what we wanted to see
- You can purchase tickets to go up into the dome to descover that there are actually 2 domes. Good views of the city from here as well. Tickets are expensive and there are 2 different tickets, so choose the dome only one – if you want to see that much.
- The Parliament building apparently is good
- Purchase tickets before visiting
- The Shoes on the bank of the Danube are a reminder of the Germans against the Jews in WWII
- The Funicular is a funny looking tram that takes you to the Castle Palace. The bus is cheaper or you can walk
- The Castle District looks like a good place to visit – not all buildings are genuine and old, there are some new one’s.
- Budapest it the capital of Caves – join a cave walking tour
- Hospital in the Rock – an underground hospital and then bunker
- The Labrynth is a set of caves that are free to walk around. This does not replace the caves walking tour nor the hospital in the rock, they are just something differnt and free
- Fishermans Bastion – you can pay money to access or wait until it closes as they leave all the doors open and its free
- City park of Budapest – there is so much to do here if you like a zoo, library etc
- Heroes Square – “Stuffed Cabbage Adventures” has videos on each and every statue (hero) that is in the Heroes Square.
